Written at
Leon's place in Goodlettsville back in 1996 . . . we originally had this as a rockin'
little piece. I later changed it to this ballad format. The 'Dairy Queen' in
the song is really a reference to the Foster Freeze back in my hometown of Ventura.
Just up the street from my high school (Buena) . . . my girlfriend Tammie and I used to go
there a lot on our dates . . . (that was when I was a college boy) . . . Leon and his wife
Doris had been childhood sweethearts and married for many years . . . that was quite an
inspiration too!
